前 言
20世纪70年代初的震惊世界的"巨人握手"，已经过去30多年了。当时的三位巨人，也已相继谢世。但是，他们开创的中美友好之路，为我国的日益繁荣昌盛和世界持久和平奠定了坚实的基础。而为这一历史性创举荣任"先导"的基辛格博士，不但健在，并且自此以后，一直致力于中美友好事业，成为深受中国人民尊敬的老朋友。
今年5月27日，是博士先生80华诞，我馆在各级领导和诸位仁人志士的大力支持下，举办这个为博士祝寿的展览，以体现礼仪之邦"不忘老友"的高尚情操，增进中美两国人民的深厚友谊。

Perface
It has been more than 30
years since the world-shocking hands-shaking
of the giants in the early 70's of last century.
The three giants of that time have passed
away one after another, but the road they
initiated which leads to Sino-US friendship
has laid a solid foundation for our country's
increasing prosperity and the lasting world
peace. And the forerunner of this great historical
beginning, Dr. Kissinger is not only living
and in good health, he has also been devoted
to the cause of Sino-US friendship and has
been an old friend greatly respected by Chinese
people.
May 27th of this year is going to be Dr.
Kissinger's 80th birthday. With the great
support from the leaders at all levels and
from those with high ideals, we celebrate
Dr. Kissinger's 80th birthday by holding this
exhibition with a view to showing the national
customs of forgetting not old friends of this
land of ceremony and propriety ,and improving
the profound friendship between the peoples
of these two countries.
